CHRIS ANDRUS
 
Profile

Mr. Andrus is an internationally experienced executive level consultant.  In the area of Project Management, Chris is an experienced facilitator with a demonstrated talent for helping organizations properly define projects, understand the scope of what is being undertaken, and assist the project team to build productive relationships with multiple stakeholders to ensure project acceptance.

In addition to to his Project Management specialty, he has a broad range of functional knowledge including: Strategic Planning; Training Material Design and Delivery; Methodology; Recruiting; Help Desk Operations; and, Website Development.

A coach, in the broadest sense of the word, with the ability to help individuals identify and overcome obstacles to success.  His communication skills have been honed by several thousand hours of presentation experience in the classroom, lecture hall, boardroom, and on the athletic field.
 

Relevant Experience

Mr. Andrus' project management experience spans two decades.  He was responsible for the development and global deployment of a consulting and project management methodology across the Business Consulting practice of Arthur Andersen.  This project involved the integration of individual "practice and technology specific" methodologies into a cohesive consulting framework.  Once the framework was completed, Chris was responsible for delivering training to hundreds of consultants on both the new methodology and  project management techniques in all corners of the globe.

In his role as an independent consultant and as a employee of Arthur Andersen, Chris has assisted countless project teams in developing detailed project plans.  By facilitating planning sessions, Mr. Andrus helps project teams properly define the project and then develop planning documentation such as the: work breakdown structure; network diagram; detailed cost and effort estimate; risk management plan and other supporting documentation.

Project Management consulting typically includes a significant training effort.  Mr. Andrus has designed and developed training materials for management training programs for dozens of clients.  This training often includes facilitation skills, understanding thinking styles, and team dynamics.  He has participated in all phases of courseware development including design and the production of the content, activities, graphics, video treatments and scripts, case materials, and participant self study.  Chris is an experience instructor, having delivered thousands of hours of instructor led content.

In addition to his project management experience, Mr. Andrus has facilitated strategic planning exercises for a variety of organizations both for profit and Not-For-Profit.  He facilitated a worldwide strategic planning exercise using collaborative meeting technologies.  He is experienced with Electronic Meeting Systems and traditional data gathering techniques to develop and prioritize strategies and tactics.  He has also led the worldwide Collaborative Systems practice of Arthur Andersen.  This practice was dedicated to developing the tools an techniques required to foster communication and cooperation across traditional corporate boundaries. 

Mr. Andrus' technology related projects include: technology assessments, technical infrastructure development, application development, and help desk management.  He had had the pleasure of working in oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, distribution, legal, manufacturing, and retail industries.   

Chris received his Bachelor of Commerce (1984) and Master of Business Administration (1987) degrees from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
